New album ERO CRAS out now
Epta Astera’s debut album Ero Cras is out today, and available for download on the music page.
About the Album
The name Ero Cras is the reply formed by forming an acronym of the subjects of all the calls in the O Antiphons, from which we get the song Veni Emmanuel, backwards. In reverse order, the song calls upon Emmanuel (God with us), Rex Genitum (King of the nations), Oriens (Dayspring), Clavis Davidica (Key of David), Radix Jesse (Root of Jesse), Adonai (Lord), and Sapientia (Wisdom), each referring to the messiah Jesus Christ. Ero Cras is roughly translated from Latin “I will be there tomorrow”, referring to the imminent arrival of the messiah.
Epta Astera’s debut album Ero Cras, capped on both ends with the song Veni Emmanuel, is a concept album about the life of Christ, going through birth, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. The album incorporates a number of musical styles - from gregorian, celtic, and medieval to black metal, martial industrial, and occasionally even shoegaze.
